McLennan Honors College hosting Os Guinness Sept. 13

Aug. 21, 2023

The McLennan Honors College will host The Ken Starr Memorial Lecture featuring Os Guinness, Wednesday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 p.m. in the Conference Center at MCC, 4601 N. 19th. St, on the McLennan Community College campus.

The world lost a champion of religious liberty and advocate for freedom when Judge Ken Starr passed away in September 2022. In addition to serving our community as President of Baylor University, Judge Starr was also a great friend to McLennan Community College and its students. To honor our friend, the McLennan Honors College is proud to present an evening with Os Guinness, internationally recognized author, philosopher, social critic, and champion of liberty. Guinness earned his undergraduate degree from the University of London and his Ph.D. in the social sciences from Oxford University. He has written or edited more than 30 books on liberty, including his latest works: The Great Quest, Zero Hour America, and Signals of Transcendence.

Admission to the event is free, but tickets are required and are available at KenStarrMemorialLectureSeries.eventbrite.com. A Q&A and book signing will follow the lecture. Books will be available for sale in the Conference Center lobby.
